Don’t you just love the Internet? Information at your finger tips!!
I subscribe to a number of Blogs – Some Food related, and a number of Sewing/Quilt related.
One of the Blogs I follow – Craftsy – has both food and sewing/quilting as their topics.
Craftsy is an online community dedicated to anything you can create with your hands. This includes quilting & sewing, knitting & crocheting, cooking & baking, photography and more.
They have online classes, patterns, and projects. I enjoy reading their blog posts and have included a few here for your reading pleasure! ![]()
Choosing Fabrics for a Quilt – This is a brief discussion on fabric choices, including favorite prints, color palette, scale, and pre-cuts.
Choosing Colors – Craftsy’s Blog shares some thoughts about Tone: Warm or Cool, Value: Light or Dark and includes some resources for choosing colors.
Rotary Cutting – Do you ever wonder if you are using the rotary cutter correctly? Craftsy shares some Do’s and Don’t’s
Getting an Accurate 1/4” Seam – even if you are a few threads off, over an entire quilt, your measurements will be wrong. So in addition to cutting accurately you must have accurate seams so that your blocks will be the right size.
Note: I am not affiliated with Craftsy, but have used their resources and made some items using their patterns. I have just found that they are a good resource on the Internet.
Hope you will get some sewing time in today!
Happy Stitching!

I think this Craftsy blog will be very useful–thanks!
