My Tested Blocks –
My group tested 13 of the 100 Blocks. We randomly received patterns and didn’t know (and had no choice) as to which techniques we would be testing.
I can’t believe that I didn’t test any of these blocks. I promise, any of the blocks I tested that don’t get featured in the Blog Tour, I’ll show them in a post next week.
So, I’ll share with you my favorite block from the Featured Designers in Volume 11.

This is Block is Sunflower Dance by Sandi Colwell and can be found on page 10. I’ve not tested any of her work, and I’m not really that fond of appliqué. Since I’ve been testing blocks for Quiltmaker, I’ve done several appliqué blocks and am learning to feel more comfortable with this technique.
Click here to her Blog and see how she has used this block and read about how she goes about designing.
I love sunflowers and this block looks bright and sunny. I like the use of rick rack for the stems! I’m thinking I will made this block as a summer wall hanging.
There is so much more to share, but for now, why don’t you check out the other Featured Designers. Maybe you’ll find a block you want to make! Sign up on Quiltmaker’s Blog and the Designer’s Blogs for a chance to win prizes.
Join me tomorrow and (hopefully) I’ll share more some of the blocks I’ve made.
Happy Stitching!

The sunflowers with rick rack is adorable! I also loved the flag with checkerboard and flowers by Mary Ellen Von Holt and Muriel.

That’s a very happy looking quilt block! I haven’t really done any appliqué–maybe I should try . . .
