In my last post I identified my One Monthly Goal for September. I’ve linked up with the group at Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal September Link-up. I won’t be starting that project until later, but I have a few other projects on my to-do list.
So I thought I would make my list here and we will see how much I will get accomplished.
- UFO Project #7 – At the beginning of the year, I joined a Facebook Group – APQ 2017 UFO Challenge and made a list of UFOs (Unfinished Objects). They were numbered 1-12 and at the beginning of each month a number was selected at random and that was the project we would finish (or at least work on) for the month in the hopes of reducing the projects that needed completion. I completed my January UFO and worked on my February one, but then life interrupted my sewing. So one project on my To-Do List for September is to work on Project #7 – A quilt for a family member. As this is a surprise, I cannot say anything more. But my goal is to complete the top (flimsy) and hopefully even piece the backing & hand it off to be quilted.

- September One Monthly Goal – Another item is the OMG, which I mentioned in my last post. This goal is to complete the flimsy and maybe the backing. I may quilt this myself – but that’s yet to be determined.

Ethan
- Mystery Challenge – September is the beginning of Project Linus’ 2017 Mystery Quilt Challenge. This year it is Exploring the World with Ethan. It isn’t too late to sign up. The cost is $15 (a tax-deductible donation to Project Linus) which entitles you to receive the pattern clues. Beginning September 16, on Saturday, for 8 weeks, you will get clues (& videos) for blocks to complete a top. There is also a contest which follows. You can enjoy making a quilt which is suitable for all levels of quilting abilities as you support a great organization. So on my September To-Do List is making the blocks for 9/16 & 9/23.
- Scrappy Batik Top – I have to finish sewing the rows together on a Scrappy Batik Top, so we’ll add this to my September To-Do List.
Well, I guess between these 4 projects and the PA Quilt Extravaganza, I’ll be busy this month.
Will you be doing any stitching??
Happy Stitching!
