Well, the calendar says it is fall, but so far the temperature doesn’t agree.  There have been a few cooler days, but it’s still warm.  If you look real hard you do see some signs of fall.

My yellow & gold mums have been enjoying the weather and our Pampas Grass has bloomed.  As long as we don’t have any extreme wind or heavy rain (or snow), we will be able to enjoy these plumes for some time.

Today the Autumn Jubilee on From My Carolina Home continues with some sewing. In her first post about this year’s Autumn Jubilee, Carole shared the list of prizes which will be given away.  One prize is a Fat Quarter Bundle – Autumn Lane Sampler which was on sale at Connecting Threads and will be used for her quilt along.  (Sorry, I just checked and this is no longer available as a fat quarter bundle.) I couldn’t wait for the chance to win this so I ordered it and it arrived yesterday. YAY! Just in time for her post today. But, I will be happy to win this prize too! LOL!!

Autumn Lane Sampler Fat Quarter Bundle from Connecting Threads and some thread in Fall colors.

Last year I used fabric from my stash and was happy with what I used.  But choosing fabric colors/shades/values really frustrates me, so this year I decided to go with what Carole is using, so I can enjoy the process without stressing over fabric choices.

I also bought a selection of fall colored thread.  I love the colors of fall and look forward to seeing what this year’s Autumn Jubilee brings. I’m ready to get this started!

I haven’t made much progress on my October To Do list, so hoping for some serious stitching time this weekend.
