November OMG – (Not Quite) Finish

Linking up with Elm Street Quilts November OMG Finish

My Goal was to make placemats using the August Fabric Bundle Prize I won.

2018-August Blogger Bundle Prize

It’s been a busy month! So much to do and not enough hours in the day.  I did not finish the placemats, but did get the tops pieced, the backing bought & cut and the placemats sandwiched (for my non-quilty friends/readers, a quilt sandwich is when the pieced top, the batting and the backing are assembled together, pinned and ready to be quilted).

2018 – 6 Placemats sandwiched & ready to quilt

One of my major tumbling blocks is deciding how to quilt my projects on my domestic sewing machine.  The placemats will be ‘easy’ to do since they aren’t as big as a large quilt, but deciding the thread to use and the pattern to quilt has me at a stand still!  But in my favor (or my current excuse, and I’m sticking with it!), November has been a busy month with a Quilt Retreat, Thanksgiving Holiday, Physical Therapy and Christmas stitching.

I did get a lot done, and will post my November Finishes later.

Hope you are getting some Stitching done!

  1. Just do some straight line quilting on those place mats. Nice!
