Happy Father’s Day 2026

Hope all fathers out there had a great Father’s Day!  We had a quiet day. It started with Cinnamon Rolls and then for dinner I made Pork Tenderloin, Baked Potatoes & Zucchini and finished with a Peach Cobbler for Dessert.

First Day of Summer

Sunday was Father’s Day but it was also the astronomical beginning of Summer. The Summer Solstice is also the longest day of sunlight. It was a beautiful sunny day.

Maybe one day I’ll finish my Tulip Wall Hanging and hang it for Spring & Summer.

After A Busy Week Some Sewing Time

Well, 1st off I needed to finish cleaning the piles that had piled up in the last 15+ weeks.

My machine is heading into the shop for repairs today, but I’ve been using a smaller, backup machine. I needed to clean & oil it.

Plus a new Fabric Cafe bundle arrived Sunday so I needed to get ready to start on it.

So, not much sewing got done. Hopefully this week will have some sewing.

Hope you are making progress on whatever you are stitching this week!

Happy Stitching!

  1. Take your time with the things that have piled up. Karen from “Just Get It Done” on You Tube suggests you “Set a timer” and give yourself just 15 minutes of clean up/sorting. I am the type that has to tackle “a corner” or “a pile”. Start to finish; but still manageable. Usually it is JUST my big cutting table I tackle in between projects. Today I think it is VACUUM time!!! It’s always satisfying to have a neater workspace.
