I’ll admit. I’m addicted to Quilt Alongs. But I’m a bit picky who I’ll follow. Some are mysteries and you have no idea what it will look like when finished. Others show the finished design when it begins. I like those.
In case you are new to Quilt Alongs (QALs), they are frequently online and will offer instructions to blocks or parts of blocks on a regular basis.
Some may issue clues weekly or monthly. Towards the end, if it’s a mystery, you will finally get finishing instructions. They may be offered as a Block of the Month if there are a number of different blocks.
Fall Fortnight Quilt Along
Carole is one of the designers I like. She gives clear instructions and her Blog Posts have lots of photos of the steps. I’ve discovered I’m a visual learner so her pictures really help.
On the first day of Fall Fortnight, Carole started a Quilt Along. It isn’t a mystery which helps me when picking fabric. Her’s is in Autumn colors, but I’m thinking of doing it in Christmas fabrics.

First Block – Make 9 Lattice Blocks. I have to wait another day to start. Hoping I won’t be too far behind.
Are you following Fall Fortnight? Be sure to check in tomorrow at 7:00 am Eastern Daylight Time. I can finally share what I’ve been working on.
Hope you are making progress on whatever you are stitching this week!
Happy Stitching!
