Quilt Camp Work Station

We’ve gotten our work areas all set up~sewing, cutting & ironing all within our reach. Snacks & supplies plus large ironing & fabric cutting stations are elsewhere for when we need them. Supper was BBQ, potato salad, coleslaw, chips, canteloupe & watermellon. Tomorrow is a full day of sewing!

So Much Fabric…So Little Time

Been busy the past several days washing/ironing & organizing fabric for some Quilt Tops I want to make.

This weekend is IT!  Time to do some serious Stitching! I wonder how many Tops I’ll get done??

I also have a 3-Yard Bundle of fabric from Fabric Café with a pattern entitled “Arrowheads,” plus a 5-Yard Bundle of fabric from Fabric Café with a pattern entitled “Scrappy Fat 5 .”

I probably won’t get to several other kits that I’ve prepared:

  • 2012 National Quilting Day/Pointing The Way – Burgundy & Tan

BurgandyFabricKit

  • Dresden Plate/Sunflowers – Yellows/Golds

Plus, I have several fabrics prepared for making Pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer

I’ll try to post progress pictures as I go.

Early Morning Walks

The nice weather has encouraged us to start early morning walks in the neighborhood.  Sonya needs the exercise and needed to lose a few pounds.

Kim has started walking with me. We both like the time together and I think the dogs are enjoying it, too.

We average between 1-1/2 to 2 miles each morning. Depending on her work schedule, it may be as early as 6:30 am or, if she does not need to get in until late, we can ‘sleep in’ until 7/7:30 am.

We work on obedience and frequently we get stopped and asked how we get them to walk so nicely.  We answer – simply training!

Here is a picture of my walking partners this morning.

Going Mobile

This is just a quick, simple Post.  I’ve downloaded the App that will allow me to create a Blog Post using my SmartPhone.  Let’s see if it works!
