Final summary from Camelia’s Quilt Retreat has to include some of the goodies that the Quilters received.
Goodies for the Quilt Campers: Each camper received a number of items to add to their quilting supplies.
Pencils covered with Quilting Fabric Designs
Nail Files, in quilting designs, of course!
Jar Gripper and/or Sewing Machine Foot Petal Anti-Skid Mat. These came in handy keeping our foot petals from slipping on the tile flooring!
Handmade Washcloth
Seam Rippers – unfortunately these were used by several ladies! LOL!!
Goodie Bag from Schoolhouse Fabrics, Floyd, VA, included a Yardstick, Tomato Pin Cushion, Seam Ripper and Metal Pin Box. Thank you to Schoolhouse Fabrics. It is a wonderful 3-story shop which is a must to visit when in SW Virginia!
Door Prizes: Throughout the event we drew names of campers for door prizes. That is, when I remembered. LOL!! This being the first time I hosted a retreat, it did slip my mind at times!
And The Winners Are:
- Til – Book: Freddy & Gwen Collaborate Again
- Linda – Book: Marie Osmond’s Heartfelt Giving
- Della – Big Spring Mill Seasoned Flour & Biscuit Mix
- Vanessa – Book: Thimbleberries New Collection of Classic Quilts
- Karen – 3 Pack of Titanium Scissors
- Marguerite – Dr. Pepper Texas BBQ Sauce
- Debra – Book: Quilt A Gift for Little Ones
Meals – Quilters do not live by bread alone. We had marvelous meals to provide us with strength to sew.
I have to say thank you to Camelia Elliott of Camelia’s Unique Creations for planning and organizing a marvelous retreat, providing attendees with wonderful gifts and door prizes and having everything in order.
I’m sorry that a family emergency prevented her from attending, but her detailed preparation allowed me to be able to step in and host on her behalf.
Maybe some of my Blog Readers could join us next year!
Happy Stitching!
Quilt Mouse

Sorry I missed it this year. Maybe next year.
