New Release from Fabric Cafe

It’s time to unveil a new Fabric Cafe book with 8 new patterns for 5-yard quilts.

Tuesday Fran and Donna introduced the newest 5-yard quilt book, Go Big with 5-Yard Quilts.

What’s exciting (for me) is the pattern I tested is featured on the front cover! It’s name is Still Waters and was the first top I made in May after my shoulder surgery.

Still Waters 5-yard Quilts

Made with 5 yards of fabric this quilt measures 56-1/2″ x 80-1/2″. There are no HSTs and only 3 Blocks. But two of the blocks are 12-1/2″ squares cut from width of fabric (WOF) strips and would be great for large print and directional fabric.

The large print, focus fabrics are #1 and #4.

Fabric 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5

Fabrics #2, #3 and #5 are used to Strip Piece creating a simple 4-patch block.

Assembling goes quick. Block “A”  is alternated with 12″ blocks creating gentle ripples.

Sometimes it’s difficult to get a good picture because of the wind blowing.
