I started organizing my sewing space last year, or was it year before last? It’s kind of hard to remember. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that organizing is a never-ending process! I will admit that I’m beginning to be able to find/use items with less Hide & Seek. There are still items on my ‘I can’t find’ list – A book of Christmas Blocks (I found the receipt, so I KNOW I bought it), and the feet/attachment box for one of my machines.

Well, to be very honest, this is how I end up with UFOs. I browse the Internet and follow some very talented quilt designers. I find a Block of the Month (BOM) or Quilt Along (QAL) that I like and I try to start it. Then life gets in the way. I’ve tried to be organized this year – listing release dates on my calendar to remember to download and making weekly to-do lists which includes the blocks to be made as well as other projects on my list. Yes, this list also includes my UFO’s (Unfinished Objects), other current WIPs (Works in Progress), OMG (One Monthly Goal) and Tops for Fabric Cafe.
Like I mentioned in my post last Thursday, I’m addicted to QAL’s (Quilt Alongs), especially if it is a Mystery. Mystery QALs will often challenge me to use different techniques. Last Fall I joined a group making a Mystery for Quilts of Valor (QOV). The top is at the Longarm Quilters. You can read about it Here.
