Part of my “Sewing Time” in January was spent trying to organize my sewing room, unfinished projects and expected projects. I’m trying to do better with my time so I can feel that I am accomplishing things and not just feel like I’m going in circles.
I’ve been making lists and charts. As I clean in my sewing room, I keep finding more and more that needs to be done, so I keep adding them to my lists.
Continue readingThis month I got back into making tops to be displayed at Fabric Cafe’s booth at upcoming Quilt Shows. I got to make two with some very pretty new fabric line. I can’t show them yet. 😦 I’ll post pictures at the grand reveal!
I mentioned in my Blog Post Here that the first finish of the year was a Quillow & matching pillowcases & fleece scarf for one of our daughter’s friends. The sun hasn’t been cooperating, but here are the pictures I promised. Click on an image to view larger picture.
Last week we had the 2nd snow of 2018-2019 Winter. The first was in November, so that technically wasn’t winter. This storm was categorized as a “Major Storm.” Snow fell Saturday – Sunday and resulted in closed schools and businesses on Monday. We got just under 12 inches of snow. Great sewing weather!!
Wow! January is barely a week old and I can say I’ve finished with my January OMG! OK, I’ll admit I’m keeping it simple, and if it seems like I’m having a good year, I’ll add to my Monthly Goal.
So, without further ado, here it is!!
Recovering from any disaster takes time, sometimes years. It can feel like the rest of the world has gone on with their lives (which, of course, they did), and that you have been forgotten. This project hopes to share with those still recovering from last year’s Hurricanes Florence & Michael that they have not been forgotten. Quilters are great with sharing in times like this.
