“Not Going Anywhere” Monday

I’m excited!  First, I don’t have anything scheduled for today – Yippy!  I don’t have to leave the house at all!! I’m basically a home-body and am very happy to stick around the house and keep myself occupied.

Second, I can scratch off Project #1 on my September Goals List.  I’ve been sharing my HST/Pinwheel progress and said the remainder of the top will go quickly. Today started with chain piecing the HSTs.

Alternating chain piecing & pressing, I finally got all the pinwheel rows completed.

There are 4 rows which alternate with the 3 Pinwheel rows. As I mentioned, I can’t show the entire quilt until it is gifted, but here’s a teaser:

Today I will piece together the backing and it will be off to the Long Arm Quilter on Tuesday.  I usually include a matching pillowcase and I plan to make both a standard and a travel-size pillowcase.

While I will be doing some sewing today, I will also be remembering 16 years ago.  The tragic events of 9/11/2001 will always be remembered.

Happy Stitching!
