This week I’m on the road to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains for Camelia’s 2018 Fall Quilting Retreat hosted at Spirit Wind Ministries Retreat Center in Floyd, VA. The attendees this past April had so much fun they begged Camelia to have a Fall Retreat. We all checked our calendars and picked the first week in November.

2014 Fall on our street.
Warm, Wet Summer/Fall has delayed the fall colors on our block. This is a picture from 4 years ago and it doesn’t look this way yet. I’m looking forward to the Fall Colors that I hope to find almost as much as the time I will get to spend stitching. This has been a busy year and I haven’t had much dedicated sewing time, especially since my Knee Replacement Surgery in September.
Speaking of Fall, here is a picture of our Halloween Carver hard at work getting the Pumpkin ready for Trick or Treat night.

I’m trying to “Pack Light” for the Quilt Retreat. The thing is, I have to pack my clothes and toiletries, of course extra pillows and a quilt, then I have to pack my “Mobile Sewing Room,” and plus there are the projects I want to make (and of course you cannot have too many projects!). Oh, I almost forgot, I have to pack food/snacks. The pile is growing.
Hope you’re getting some Stitching done!
Happy Stitching & Moving!

I am glad you are out and about now after your knee replacement. Have lots of fun.
