February 2019 – UFO and OMG

Part of my “Sewing Time” in January was spent trying to organize my sewing room, unfinished projects and expected projects. I’m trying to do better with my time so I can feel that I am accomplishing things and not just feel like I’m going in circles.

I’ve been making lists and charts. As I clean in my sewing room, I keep finding more and more that needs to be done, so I keep adding them to my lists.

My February UFO – Quilt to be Gifted

Camelia’s 2018 Quilt Retreat – Checkmate quilt top for a gift.

I made this top last April, but once it returned from the Longarm Quilter, I was unable to finish it. Hoping this will get done before this April. So this is what still needs to be done:

  • Trim/Square the finished Quilt
  • Make the Binding
  • Machine stitch the binding to the back of the quilt
  • Machine stitch the binding to the front of the quilt
  • Make matching Pillowcase(s) – If I have enough fabric, I will make a Standard Pillowcase (for storage) and a Travel Pillowcase.

My February OMG – Complete 3 Blocks for two Project Linus Mystery Quilts

  • Project Linus 2018 Mystery Quilt Challenge – Week 1B – Block “Donuts”
  • Project Linus 2017 Mystery Quilt Challenge – Week 5B – Block “Penguin” (make 2)

I’m linking up to Elm Street Quilts – February One Monthly Goal.

Do you make lists? And do you find they help you accomplish more? Hope you find some time to stitch this weekend!

I make lists, but usually forget or misplace them when needed. 🙂
Your quilt is lovely! Good luck with your OMG.
