In My Sewing Room This Weekend  – 8/30/2026

I have two more finished quilt tops that need backing. This weekend time was spent messing up my sewing room looking for suitable backing fabric.

We need to make a trip south to pick up the two quilts that my longarm quilter has finished. We’ll take these two and leave them for her to quilt.

UFOs

1-2-3 Quilt – Size 40″ x 45″ Some time ago I made this panel quilt by just adding borders. I don’t think there was a pattern. We found fabric with scattered Alphabets to use for backing.

Puppy’s Christmas Quilt – Size is 47″ x 63″. The pattern is Checkmate by Fabric Cafe. It is one of my favorite quickie patterns which highlights directional or scenic fabric separated by rows of four patch blocks. We found some green fabric that I pieced into a backing.

I’m going to have to do some serious binding! At least one or two will have the Magic Binding.

Hope you are making progress on whatever you are stitching this week!

Happy Stitching!
