I kept my One Monthly Goal simple again this month.
- Finish Hand Stitching a binding on a Queen Topper Quilt.
And I DID IT! I usually machine stitch the binding on most of my quilts, but this one needed hand stitching. It is 80″ x 88″ so that is 336 inches of hand stitching. I worked on it on Thursdays at my Hand Stitching Group, and finished it at home watching TV.

2018-10-31-Raffle Quilt for Survivor’s Retreat at Spirit Wind Ministries
My eyes are getting older, and I need lots of light, especially stitching on dark blue fabric with dark gray thread. My DH came up with a solution. He let me borrows his LED clip on light. He clipped it to the back cushion of my recliner and pointed the light right where I needed it over my left shoulder. I will be finishing stitching on the label tonight.

2018-10-31 Adding the label to the Raffle Quilt
I will share more later, but this quilt will be Raffled in support of Spirit Wind Ministries in Floyd, VA. One of their events is a Christmas “Survivor Retreat,” a special retreat for families who have suffered the loss of a military member. This is a three-day retreat in December with no cost to the Widows & Children of Fallen members of the military. All donations are Tax Deductible. If you want to help support this ministry, make checks out to Spirit Wind Survivor Retreat & mail to Rev. Jim & Paula McClure, 1074 Beaver Creek Rd, Floyd, VA, 24091.
Need to take pictures of other projects I completed or worked on during October. Hope you got some stitching done!
Happy Stitching & Moving!
