I have been testing patterns and making display examples for Fabric Cafe since 2011. Before Covid the finished quilts would be disolayed at Quilt Shows across the country. Now the quilts are highlighted on the Tuesday & Thursday YouTube videos.

Individual Patterns –
Not all Fabric Cafe patterns are in books. Some are individual patterns. When I first started quilting I was frustrated choosing fabric that went together. One thing that first attracted me to Fabric Cafe was the 3 yards of coordinated fabric and the free pattern I could choose.
In November 2025 I tested two 3-yard patterns – Radiant and Daydream.
Radiant is a 3-yard pattern that measures 38″ x 56″.
This pattern is a one block quilt and includes a few hsts. The Blocks are then arranged creating two designs. One is a star and the second is a pinwheel.
Daydream is a throw size 3-yard quilt that measures 42″ x 60″.
One block is a large block which is good for a directional fabric while the other block is made with strip assembly & squares. I love patterns like this that create a fluid design. Can you see the diagonal lines created by the dark and light teal blocks?
To share the fabric and quilt patterns, Donna, Fran and Hannah make YouTube Videos. These are currently being shown at 4 pm CDT every Tuesday & Thursday on their Facebook Page. You can also go back and see earlier videos on their YouTube Channel.
Watch their April 14, 2026, YouTube Video introducing these two patterns plus four other 3-yard & 5-yard patterns..
It’s fun looking through my pictures and remembering the patterns I’ve made. There will be more to share later.
Hope you are making progress on your projects.
Happy Stitching,
Quilt Mouse

I do have the fun of piecing a top without the choices of fabric or pattern and it gives me loads of practice with various techniques.
