January 2022 – Goals, UFOs & OMG

Happy New Year! 2022 has started out in a unique way — Sunday’s High Temperature was in the 60’s and Monday we woke to 28F and snow. By the time it ended we had a wet, sticking to everything 8″ of snow.

The city shut down. Federal Government was ‘closed’ and most school systems added an extra day to their winter break, streets were a mess, and accidents and stranded vehicles cluttered the highways. A perfect day to spend in the sewing room. Mostly I did clean-up from the December sewing madhouse and organizing projects for the New Year. I had an appointment with the American Red Cross to donate Platelets/Plasma but had to cancel and reschedule it for later this week.

PSA – Dangerously Low Blood Supply. There is an urgent need for Blood Donations as well as Platelets/Plasma Donations (used to help Cancer Patients). Click on the American Red Cross to find out more information and to locate a Donation Site near you.

It’s finished, and now I can Share

I have been working on this for a while, and now it is ready to head to its home. I am not the one who pieced the top, but I added the final border and quilted it on my Bernina.

October 2021 Progress on OMG

Do you ever feel there’s not enough hours in a day or days in a week? Time flies by and no matter how organized I am, I don’t feel I get enough done from my Quilting/Sewing To Do List. But then I make a list of what I’ve done – which often includes things that were NOT on my To Do list. I guess I get more done than I think. It’s Halloween and that means it’s the last day of October. The temperatures at night are beginning to dip into the 40’s and forecast has it hitting the 30’s this coming week. Leaves are beginning to turn, so I guess Fall is really here.

Fall 2021 Current Project #2, Weeks #3 & 4
