Tuesday was another Fall Quilt Along (QAL) that I am doing. This QAL is also a Christmas themed one and began last Tuesday.
Fall usually finds me doing (or trying to do) several Quilt Alongs (QAL), and this year is no different. I’ll admit I don’t always keep up or some of them end up in my UFO pile (UnFinished Objects).
I am also frequently working on several other projects – Quilt of Valor, quilts to be gifted, tops for Fabric Cafe samples & testing new patterns, pillowcases, charity quilts and many other things that catch my eye!
Well, I can’t say the month progressed as planned, but I did keep busy. Plus, after all February is a short month.
Groundhog Day 2022. According to Punxsutawney Phil, we are looking at six more weeks of winter. But I’ve always wondered how a groundhog in Pennsylvania can predict the weather where I live. We do have a “local” rodent celebrity, Potomac Phil (a stuffed relative of the one in Pennsylvania) and he doesn’t always agree with Phil. The local forecast is for temps in the 50’s today, so I’ll take that for now. Then cold & wet is expected to return for the weekend.
The first month of the year is nearly in the books. We’ve had more snow and lots of very cold weather. But we were lucky to miss the worst of the Nor’easter which brought Blizzard conditions along the Atlantic Coast and up into New England this past weekend.
I rescheduled my appointment with the American Red Cross to donate Platelets and then returned two weeks later to donate both Platelets and Plasma. Unlike donating Whole Blood, donating Platelets and Plasma takes 3 hours. They have individual televisions and after checking in I was able to watch a couple of movies. What did they do before Netflix?
