A Quick Trip

We took a quick overnight trip to Pennsylvania with two objectives: First to give my Bernina a Spa Day, Second to pop into the Pennsylvania Quilt Expo.

I’ve been having some issues with thread breaking, skipping stitches and bobbin misbehaving, and it’s been a year, so wanted my Bernina checked out. I called ahead and made an appointment so we could drop it off while visiting the Quilt Show.

Friday we arrived as they opened and dropped off my machine. Often we head out shopping, and my machine is finished in a few hours. So after a lunch we pick it up the same day & head home. But since there is a quilt show to attend and we were planning to spend the night, we picked it up before we headed home on Saturday.

Envelope Pillowcase Tutorial

My Sewing Room Remodel/Organization is moving along nicely. We have moved onto Stage #2 which has 3 parts. Only problem is finding so much that calls to me to stop what I’m doing & start something new. LOL! Well, I did say I still wanted to get some sewing done while this hugh project was progressing.

While folding fabric, I uncovered some pillow panels along with coordinating fabric of horses. My daughter had asked if I found some horse fabric, if I would make a Travel Pillowcase for the daughter of a friend. Looking at my find, she reminded me that the pillow panels were to be made into pillows for her. So here I go doing some distracted sewing.

While making these pillows, I thought it would make a nice Tutorial. Plus, after doing all the calculations, this would be a great way to remember what I did.

There’s Light at the End of the Tunnel

In my Post dated 8/26/2019, I mentioned I was expecting some fabric to make tops for Fabric Cafe. It didn’t arrive until Monday about 2:30 pm, and it had three 3-yard bundles. One of the three tops needed to get to the long arm quilter ASAP.
